DrupalCamp Campinas 2: Final Report

On November 31 and October 1st, the second Brazilian DrupalCamp took place on the University of Campinas. Dozens of drupallers met for two days, to discuss and do Drupal.

In the first morning of the great event, for the beginner's track, Fabiano Sant'Ana and Stephen Camilo presented the session Dru... what?! and Rafael Silva answered the question How many modules do we need to build a portal? For the advanced track, Lourenzo Ferreira talked about Drush, Simpletest and Coder. In the afternoon, two sessions took place: on content categorization (Franz Glauber) and the great MTV Brasil's case - 300 websites in a very short deadline. In another room, Rafael Silva presented a mini-course on Drupal for beginners.

On Sunday, Bruno Neyra introduced Views, Lourenzo Ferreira talked on Module development and José San Martin on localizing Drupal to Brazilian Portuguese.

There has been also an unconference, discussing novelties and other things such as Aegir, Features, Zen, OpenAtrium, user experience and auto-management of the local community.

This DrupalCamp has shown that the Brazilian Drupal community is keen and enthusiastic.

The event was sponsored by Chuva Inc., HostSH and Acquia.
